What is Pediatric Occupational Therapy?
Pediatric Occupational Therapy (OT) focuses on helping children develop the everyday skills they need to play, learn, and grow with confidence. We use fun, play-based activities to support your child’s development while addressing the unique challenges that may come with different developmental needs. We work with children of all abilities, including those with Autism, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, neurological conditions, learning difficulties, sensory processing differences, developmental delays, and emotional regulation challenges.
Through personalized therapy, we help children strengthen key skills such as:
Fine motor coordination (e.g., handwriting, cutting, manipulating small objects)
Gross motor and postural control (e.g., balance, core strength, coordination)
Sensory regulation and body awareness
Self-care and independence (e.g., dressing, feeding, grooming/hygiene)
Emotional regulation and attention
Social skills and play skills
School readiness and classroom participation
We believe progress happens best when everyone works together. That’s why we collaborate closely with families, teachers, and other allied health professionals—such as speech pathologists, physical therapist, behavior therapists, and psychologists—to create consistent, supportive strategies across all environments.
At Play and Grow Pediatric Therapy, our goal is to empower your child to reach their full potential—and to give you the tools, understanding, and confidence to support them every step of the way.
We proudly partner with Chat More, LLC to provide high-quality speech and language therapy services for families seeking comprehensive developmental support. Families can conveniently access both occupational and speech therapy services under the same roof.
